Yesterday Heather & Gregg from Pierce County TV met us at the Tacoma Narrows Airport. They filmed an interview about the Thanksgiving Basket Brigade. It should be on Channel 22 sometime on Thursday or Friday. as soon as they send us the link we will get it up on the site so you can send it to your friends.
The Ultimate Looks Salon is helping with a Green Bean Drive. So here is what I know! Sandy Berryman is spearheading an effort to get all the Green Beans donated for the baskets. And you Must Know that all the stylists are involved. So give them your green beans and tell them all thanks. And also thank the owner Sue King for without her shop these wonderful people wouldn’t have a place to do their Green Bean collection. :-).
You can find them at:
6932 Kimball Dr Gig Harbor, WA 98335?
Lets all thank Beth & Mike Myers. They are the owners of Gene’s Towing. They are providing a large truck All day the day of pick up and the day of assembly to pick up last minute items. They also donated all the gravy mix.
Come Join The Fun! Sing along with the Turkey
“You got My Brother But You Didn’t Get me,
You should Give up Turkey and Eat Chicken,
Instead of Me”
I’m Excited to tell you we had Brian Weigelt step up and find us the quantity of our turkeys during this last minute challenge. He too wants to be a part of next years Basket Brigade again.
Fred Meyers has jumped in and donated $500 toward our food. They have also offered to help by being a major partner next year.
Pam & Paul in University Place got us a small truckload of breads. So Thank You , Thank You, Thank You.
Hey if you grab a turkey on the way home you can take it by the Island View Market. They have some freezer space for us too. Tell Jim & Chris Thank You for their support. the address is 7102 Ray Nash Drive NW, Gig Harbor, WA 98335.
While you are there you can pick up a few other food items for yourself.
First lets Thank Darla at Madrona Links Golf course. When I called her needing freezer space she opened the door and said yes. So we can pick up around town and keep the turkeys cold until we gather a large number.
Then Thanks to Helen we have unlimited freezer space at the Emergency Food Network. They have also found us a possible resource for all the turkeys.
And for those of you who know Linda Kaye Briggs, she has been helping deliver for many years. When you see here there this year be sure to Thank her for introducing me to Helen at EFN.
